This is replica of a mission style rocker that was built around the turn of the century for Queen Liliuokalani. It was a part of the furnishings of Iolani Palace. Although built by Chinese furniture makers of that time in Honolulu, it has become widely accepted as the traditional Hawaiian Rocker. Rockers may be customized with options such as cut outs in the back slats which gives the chair back more flex. My chairs are deseigned to fit the average person. If you are petite or extra large, adjustments can be made to allow for that perfect fit. |
